Stay active with exercises at home

Staying active doesn’t necessarily mean a trip to the gym. Whatever your age, whatever your situation, there are some simple exercises you can do at home that can help improve your flexibility, posture and overall wellbeing.
There are plenty of benefits to staying active and as we age those benefits – improved strength, flexibility, posture and mobility – become even more important. Regular exercise is also believed to have a positive effect on our moods and boost energy levels.
We have worked with Kate Sheehan, an internationally renown OT and director of The OT Service, to develop an exercise programme that anyone can do in the comfort of their own home.
Our exercise programme has three levels – beginners, intermediate and advanced – which take around 30 minutes to complete and include seated and standing exercises so everyone can find a level to suit.
To try the exercises for yourself view our videos here or complete the form to get your free exercise booklet and DVD. We’d love to hear how you get on so please email us at marketinguk@stannah.co.uk or Tweet us at #StannahStaysActive
